The Long Island Jesters Boys Summer Camp is designed for young athletes who want to develop their lacrosse skills in a high-energy, supportive environment led by experienced coaches. Focused on fundamentals, game IQ, and confidence-building, the camp offers players a chance to improve stick skills, footwork, and positional play through structured drills and competitive gameplay. Whether your son is new to lacrosse or looking to sharpen his edge for the upcoming season, this camp delivers a balance of instruction and fun that keeps players engaged while helping them grow. With an emphasis on development over pressure, the Jesters create an atmosphere where every athlete can thrive, compete, and build a stronger foundation in the game.
This isn’t just “run around and scrimmage.”
Players will get targeted reps in:
- Stick skills under pressure (not just static drills)
- Dodging and decision-making in game situations
- Shooting mechanics and shot selection
- Off-ball movement and spacing (where most players fall behind)
The goal is simple: your son leaves noticeably more confident and more effective when the game speeds up.
Both, and that’s intentional.
Players are grouped and coached in a way that:
- Newer players build a real foundation quickly without feeling overwhelmed
- Experienced players get pushed with higher-level reps and competition
No one is standing around. Everyone is developing at the right level.
Most camps are volume-based. This one is development-focused.
What that means:
- Coaches are actively correcting and teaching, not just supervising
- Drills translate directly to real game situations
- Players get feedback they can actually use during the season
It’s designed for improvement, not just participation.
Yes, that’s one of the biggest benefits.
This camp builds:
- Confidence with the ball in high-pressure moments
- Better decision-making (which coaches notice immediately)
- Sharper fundamentals that separate players during evaluations
Players don’t just get reps, they get reps that translate directly to tryouts and games.
Each session is structured to maximize development:
- Fast-paced warm-up and stick work
- Skill-specific drills (dodging, shooting, defense, etc.)
- Competitive small-sided drills (where real improvement happens)
- Controlled scrimmages to apply everything
There’s constant engagement. No wasted time.
It’s both.
The environment is:
- Competitive enough to push players
- Structured enough to keep them improving
- Fun enough that they actually want to come back each day
That balance is what keeps players engaged and progressing.
Keep it simple:
- Full lacrosse equipment
- Water or sports drink
- Cleats
- A great attitude and willingness to be coached
Everything else is handled.
